Castaway Island — Monuriki
The uninhabited volcanic island where the 2000 film Cast Away was filmed. Monuriki's dramatic twin peaks rise directly from the reef, the surrounding waters are excellent for snorkelling, and the beach is virtually deserted. There's no resort, no bar, no other tourists — just wild, untouched Fiji. If you've seen the film, it looks exactly like that in real life. One of the most striking locations in the entire Pacific.
